Losing the Grand Final as a member of our Girls Team at Mount Lawley Senior High School may have been what propelled Anna into a career in sports, but her tenacity and enthusiasm have been the qualities that kept her there.
After leaving school, Anna studied Community Development and Sport Development at TAFE.
She continued her love of sport, making the Australian Womens Gaelic Football Yeam, before turning her attention to Ultimate Frisbee, where she also made the Australian Team.
Excelling in both sports, Anna is a three time World Champion in Gaelic Football and has also represented Australia as a player and coach in Ultimate Frisbee.
As an administrator, Anna has served as the Executive Officer for WA Ultimate and as the National Events manager for Australian Ultimate.
In 2009, she developed a Volunteer Management Program, called REAP (Recruit, Education, Acknowledge, Preserve), for the Australian Flying Disc Association. The organisation uses the program to encourage and manage their volunteers across Australia.
In 2018, Anna was the Tournament Director for the World Under-24 Ultimate Championships, which were held in Perth.
She was appointed as the Australian Coach for the Under-20 Womens Ultimate Frisbee Team for the World Championships in Canada in August 2018.
Over her career Anna has engaged with the school several times, running frisbee workshops for Phys Ed classes and supporting our Healthy Active Program. She has even encouraged and coached other Mount Lawley students at the highest levels of Ultimate.
Anna was inducted as a Lawley Legend in 2018.
