NAIDOC Assembly Celebrates Culture and Leadership
Mount Lawley Senior High School recently hosted an outstanding NAIDOC Assembly, bringing together students, staff, families and community members to celebrate Aboriginal culture, leadership and achievement.
A highlight of the event was an inspiring presentation by Bronson Richards, who spoke about motivation, wellbeing, future aspirations and the importance of striving for success. Students were also captivated by the cultural performances of Ash Penfold and the Jinjeejerdup Mob, with our Follow the Dream students proudly participating alongside them.
Congratulations to School Captain James and emerging leader Zach, who represented themselves, their families and our school community with pride. Well done also to Cleo, Mahan and alumni Tahlia-Rae Willcocks for their excellent leadership of the assembly.
The celebrations extended beyond the assembly, with the Follow the Dream room transformed into a vibrant cultural space featuring artwork, displays and an impressive chalk mural, showcasing the talents and stories of our Aboriginal students.
Thank you to the Follow the Dream team, alumni and everyone involved in making this year's NAIDOC celebrations such a success.
Here's to the next 50 years of deadly!
